交通運輸分野では早期から電気鉄道や昇降機システムに可変速交流ドライブ技術が導入されてきた。近年では自動車産業においても，ハイブリッド自動車や純電気自動車のように，可変速交流ドライブの適用範囲が一気に拡大しつつある。自動車では純機械的な機構，動作を電動化あるいはハイブリッド化することにより制御性，応答性，エネルギー効率などを飛躍的に向上させることができる。昨今では車載用可変速交流ドライブがトラクションだけでなく補機ドライブへも広がりつつあり，まさに自動車革命の起爆剤として極めて重要な要素になることは必然的である。
交通運輸分野における可変速交流ドライブの適用技術調査専門委員会は，可変速交流ドライブ技術の高度化と適用範囲の拡大が特に著しい交通運輸分野に的を絞り，近年の技術動向と具体的な適用事例を学術論文やメーカの技術報告などから抽出し体系的な知識としてまとめることを目的に設置された。本報告書では，交通運輸分野として鉄道，自動車，搬送機器（昇降機，建設機械，荷役機械等も含む），船舶，介護用機器の5つのカテゴリーを設け，委員会活動を通じて得られたそれぞれの知見を総論として紹介した。
その結果，従来のエネルギー源（鉄道の架線，エンジンの動力，油空圧など）と交流モータとのハイブリッド化はますます進展していくことや，その過程でリラクタンストルクと永久磁石トルクの両方を発生できる高効率なIPMSMが重要な鍵を握ることが明らかとなった。 |

Adjustable AC Drives have early been introduced to electric railways, and escalator and elevator systems in a transportation and logistics Sector. In recent years, applications of the adjustable speed AC drives are expanding in automotive industry, especially in hybrid and pure electric vehicles. Controllability, response and energy conversion efficiency can be dramatically improved by electrification or hybridization of mechanical structures and operations of the automobiles. Adjustable speed AC drives are nowadays being used in axulially machines as well as traction drives, which implies that automotive AC drives are necessarily and significantly important components as a trigger of car revolution.
Investigating R&D Committee on adjustable speed AC drives in transportation and logistics sector was established for the purpose of extracting and technical trends and practical applications of the AC drives from various technical papers and manufacturers’ technical reviews, focusing on the transportation and logistics sector. In this report, the committee divided the transportation and logistics applications into five categories, i.e., electric railway, automobile, transporter, shipping, nursing equipment and so forth, and introduced technical knowledge on the basis of the investigational reviews.
In conclusion, it has been clarified that conventional energy sources (feeders in railways, mechanical power of combustion engines, oil and air pressure, etc. ) can be hybrid systems with AC drives and that high-efficiency IPMSM, which can deliver both of the reluctance torque and the magnet torque plays an important role. |
