多様化する社会のニーズに対応するため、様々なシミュレーション技術が開発、使用されている。これらシミュレーションはその目的に応じて対象を適切にモデル化することにより、効率的な対象の評価が可能となる。 シミュレーション技術は、要素技術とシミュレータ技術に大別することが出来る。前者には、流体を扱う計算流体力学（CFD）、構造物などの連続体を扱う有限要素法（FEM）、情報・社会・交通等複雑系のモデリングがある。後者には、医療、大規模プラントや交通機関の運転における訓練用機器が含まれる。本報告書は要素・基盤技術とこれらの技術の様々な分野への適用例についてまとめたものである。 |

Many kinds of simulation technologies have been developed for various kinds of needs in the social and industrial fields, and used in practice. The simulations can play effectively an important role to solve a lot of complex problems in their fields if the modeling is appropriate for their simulation objectives.
Simulation technology is divided roughly into two categories; technology depending on the fields and one relating to the simulators. The former includes such technologies as CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), FEM (Finite Element Method) and the modeling of complex system simulations. The latter does simulators for operations of medical treatment, a large scale of plants and traffic control systems. This report describes the fundamental simulation technologies and their applications. |
