The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan standard model (AGC 30 model) was developed as a simulation model for supply and demand/frequency analysis considering the impact of renewable energy on power systems. However, it is difficult to use the AGC 30 model for analyzing different power systems other than the standard model. In addition, the generator scheduling tool, which is attached with the AGC 30 model, cannot determine the unit commitment schedule of generators with detailed supply-demand constraints. If users want to analyze different power system model with detailed supply-demand schedule, the MATLAB program, and the Simulink model must be manually modified. In this study, we create an Excel data sheet with the required data for the simulation such as generator settings, demand, renewable, etc. Moreover, we make the MATLAB program which can make the Simulink model based on the sheet. The sheet and program make the different power system model analysis easier because the number of generators in the model can be automatically changed. |
