We propose a system for counting the number of pests attached to insecticidal sheets with high accuracy, using images taken with a cell phone. The images were taken in an agricultural house, and it is necessary to extract and determine the pests independent of the sunlight conditions. First, the sheet portion is cut out from the photographed image, areas of pests are extracted, and features such as color and shape information are extracted from each area. Finally, the extracted features are used to determine the pests and count the number of individuals of the target pests. |
