The use of 300GHz frequency is also being considered for Beyond 5G/6G ultra-high-speed wireless communication. Wireless communication in the 300GHz band requires antenna arrays to improve gain to compensate for large free space attenuation. In order to form an array, low-loss power distribution and a feed line to the antenna are required. Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) is a line that can realize a rectangular waveguide structure using a substrate and an array of metal vias, and can transmit data without radiation loss. Rigorous analysis methods using the characteristics of periodic structures have been proposed for SIW design. In this presentation, we will propose a SIW design method using a simple model.
