■要約(英語) As the mass introduction of distributed power sources with unstable output derived from renewable energy progresses, further technological innovations are being promoted in the planning, operation, and control of electric power systems in order to maintain a stable supply of electrical energy. In Japan, HVDC transmission is one of the useful techniques when considering the interchange of power between grids or when considering the method of transporting the generated power of offshore wind power generation to land. In recent years, there have been great expectations for multi-terminal HVDC transmission, especially in situations where offshore wind power is transmitted to multiple locations on land. For example, in Japan, research and development of a multi-terminal HVDC transmission system is being promoted as a technology for transmitting the power generated by large-scale offshore wind power generation to land. Therefore, it is expected to be applied in the future due to the technological trends of multi-terminal HVDC transmission that enables flexible grid interconnection of large-capacity offshore wind power generation and DC transmission with the increase in interconnection capacity of distributed power sources and the progress of power liberalization. January 2020 It was set up for three years until December 2022, and a total of 12 committee meetings were held. This technical report summarizes the results of the investigation by this investigation expert committee.
