TMEIC installed a 25MW test facility for large VSDS using voltage source type inverter (VSI) at Nagasaki factory. This test facility was required to minimize not only active power but reactive power and harmonics to fit with existing power supply without any additional equipment. This paper explain the configuration of the test facility and result of a full load back to back test of 14.7MW high speed motor.
